Terms of Service

Welcome to LegalPulse Pro. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LegalPulse Pro platform, including our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LegalPulse Pro, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

LegalPulse Pro reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for an extended period.

3. Content and Conduct

LegalPulse Pro provides a platform for legal professionals to publish analysis, commentary, and educational content. Users agree not to:

  • Post content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or unlawful.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your professional credentials.
  • Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or spam.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract content from the Service in violation of these Terms.

Content published on LegalPulse Pro is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Readers should consult qualified counsel for specific legal questions.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

LegalPulse Pro offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe Connect. When you subscribe to a writer’s paid tier, your payment is handled securely by Stripe.

LegalPulse Pro retains a 10% platform fee on all paid subscription transactions. The remaining 90% is remitted to the writer via their connected Stripe account.

Subscription fees are billed on a recurring monthly basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are generally not provided for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.

5. Intellectual Property

Writers retain full ownership of the content they publish on LegalPulse Pro. By posting content, writers grant LegalPulse Pro a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the Service and related marketing channels.

The LegalPulse Pro name, logo, and platform design are the property of LegalPulse Pro and may not be used without prior written permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

LegalPulse Pro does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content posted by users.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LegalPulse Pro and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

In no event shall LegalPulse Pro’s total liability to you exceed the amounts you have paid to LegalPulse Pro in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time through the Settings page. LegalPulse Pro may suspend or terminate your account at its discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the platform or its users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) shall survive.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.

10. Changes to These Terms

LegalPulse Pro reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
